Two Big Sprint Car Weekends Coming Up at DCRP!

Two huge weekends of Sprint Car racing are right around the corner at Dodge City Raceway Park.

Following this Saturday’s championship chase card of IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Sport Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars and IMCA Hobby Stocks, the 3/8-mile clay oval in southwest Kansas will play host to the World of Outlaws, NCRA, ASCS and URSS over the next two weekends.

It begins with the Steve King Memorial on Saturday night, June 27, with the World of Outlaws “Boothill Showdown” to follow on July 3-4.

With tickets going quickly for the “Boothill Showdown”, advance online purchase is encouraged at https://dirtcar.ticketforce.com/eventperformances.asp?evt=160. Those purchasing a two-day package will receive a free fan pit pass.

The pair of Sprint Car spectaculars begins with DCRP hosting the Steve King Memorial for the second time on June 27.

The NCRA Sprint Cars will take on the ASCS Red River Region to headline the Steve King Memorial with the URSS Sprint Cars in action with the Precise Racing Products URSS Sprint Cars as well.

Last year, both Steve King Memorial features ran off in non-stop fashion with C.J. Johnson topping the NCRA vs. ASCS portion and Jake Bubak making a last-corner pass to top the URSS feature.

Following on the heels of the Steve King Memorial is the always highly-anticipated World of Outlaws Sprint Car “Boothill Showdown”.

Owasso, OK, native Daryn Pittman has claimed three of four “Boothill Showdown” features over the past two years with Donny Schatz also claiming a win. The reigning champion, Schatz has the hottest of World of Outlaws hands lately, running his season total to 13 wins with a pair of triumphs this past weekend.

Tickets for the June 27 Steve King Memorial are just $20 with detailed ticket information for the July 3-4 World of Outlaws “Boothill Showdown” available at https://dirtcar.ticketforce.com/eventperformances.asp?evt=160.
